How to Get to Kuala Lumpur City from Kuala Lumpur International Airport?
Getting from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to the city can feel a bit tricky since the airport is quite a distance away. But thankfully, there are two good options:
- The fastest option is the KLIA Ekspres, a high-speed train that takes you directly to KL Sentral, the main train hub. However, be aware that KL Sentral isn’t exactly in the heart of the city, so you might still need to take a 15–20 minute Grab to reach popular areas like KLCC or Bukit Bintang. The train ticket costs around $12 USD per person.
- If you’re looking for an easier and often cheaper way, consider using Grab, Southeast Asia’s ride-hailing app. A Grab ride from the airport usually costs under $20 USD and drops you off right at your hotel. This option is not only more comfortable but also eliminates the hassle of transfers.
